Sunnyside Seniors' Services adheres to the highest standards of professional and personal conduct. There may however, from time to time, be concerns or complaints regarding our service from residents, their care partners, service providers, or the community. Staff will review public health recommendations with the resident and the person accompanying them prior to going out. This includes avoiding large social gatherings, following masking and physical distancing as much as possible. In 1951, the sanitarium was converted to a nursing home that was jointly owned by Becker and Clay Counties until 1966 when Becker County bought Clay County’s share of the facility. In 1973, a resolution was passed to build a new building and in 1975, residents moved into the current building.
General visitors must enter through the main entrance, complete active screening, receive a rapid antigen test for COVID-19 and wait 20 minutes for their result before entering the home for a visit. Active Screening and Surveillance TestingAll caregivers, support workers, volunteers and visitors must participate in active screening and answer no to a series of questions before entering the home. Daily life in the home has been significantly affected although activities and other daily routines have been maintain as much as possible. Visiting is still possible using our visiting pods in the garden or in the entrance to the home provided PPE and social distancing rules are adhered to. Assist the Director of Nursing in directing the nursing department by hiring, training and all other supervisory responsibilities of the nursing staff to maintain standards of care while assuring resident safety. A New York City healthcare organization is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse to join their Home Care team throughout Brooklyn & Queens as their new Nurse Team Leader. In this role, Nurse Team Leader will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and continually evaluating the home care needs of patients and ensuring the Nurses of the team are providing the same, consistent care to their patients as well. All visitors must participate in active screening and daily rapid antigen testing as required and follow Sunnyside Home's vaccination policy.

You are welcome to speak with any member of our direct care staff as they be able to quickly resolve your concern. If additional steps are needed to resolve your concern, the staff member will explain what the next steps are and may ask you to speak with the Registered Nurse.

Sunnyside located in the heart of Crossgates in LS15 and a few minutes walk from the Arndale Shopping Centre. It is widely regarded by local medical professionals and social services as one of the best nursing homes in Leeds and has won several Care Awards and other recognised achievements from medical and local community groups. Perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department and assure resident safety in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. Assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner and an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Assists in the planning, organizing and development of medically approved recreation program for residents of Sunny Hill Nursing Home. Responsible for teaching classes, leading groups, planning of daily activities and assuring resident safety.
Responsibilities shall include, but not limited to preparing, mixing and cooking ingredients, serving food and cleanup of cooking and serving areas. If the complainant appeals, the Chief Elected Official or his or her designee will meet with the complainant to discuss the complaint and possible resolutions. Within 15 calendar days after the meeting, the Chief Elected Official or his or her designee will respond in writing, and, where appropriate, in a format accessible to the complainant, with a final resolution of the complaint. Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the complaint, the ADA Coordinator will meet with the complainant to discuss the complaint and the possible resolutions.
